According to Radio 1, weekends now start on Friday. In true BBC fashion, we’ll be starting ours early too.
This Friday will kickstart our Weekend of Fundraising – a whole weekend dedicated to doing good things and raising money for charity.
Insanity Breakfast’s Red Nose Day Fundraiser
Friday is Red Nose Day, in case you forgot! To help raise money for Comic Relief, our breakfast team will be hiding somewhere busy on campus and broadcasting for 3 hours.
A whole bunch of rewards are available if you can donate.
The Marathon Meg
We’ve all seen the film The Meg. This is of absolutely no relation. (Really sorry about the poor quality humour)
Meg Walker will be back yet again for another installment of her Radio Robbie series.
But this time, Meg will be running a marathon live on the radio whilst broadcasting for 30 hours – something we haven’t done before.
