Jingle Jam 2024: Insanity’s Fundraising Partnership

Jingle Jam, Jingle Jam, Jingle Jam rocks!

Written by Alex Fairweather

This year, Insanity Radio will participate in one of the largest charity fundraising events in the United Kingdom: The Jingle Jam. But what is the Jingle Jam, and what are we doing to raise as much money as possible?

The Yogscast, a brilliant YouTube network with over seven million subscribers, began raising money in 2011 for Oxfam’s “Give a Goat” charity campaign, raising over £66,000 across their Christmas streams. From there, history was set, and the Yogs crew became a charity machine each year. In 2014, this charity event was renamed to the Jingle Jam, became a registered charity, and has since raised over £27 million for all kinds of charities, from CoppaFeel and Cancer Research UK to Special Effect and Games Aid. This year Jingle Jam 2024 and Insanity Radio will be raising money for CALM, the WDC, the Grand Appeal, Cool Earth, War Child, Sarcoma UK, Autistica, and the Trevor Project.

This year, Insanity Radio is joining in with this incredible fundraising opportunity. Three of our presenters will stay awake for 72 hours straight, streaming and broadcasting themselves the entire time on our FM frequency and webcast, as well as on Insanity Radio’s Twitch and YouTube. Many of our other presenters will host their normal shows and Jingle Jam-themed events during this time. On top of this, we have many events planned. Rage games, Insanity Radio band hours, live Warhammer and more, all in the name of raising as much money as possible.

But that’s not all! We’re lucky enough to be hosting two brilliant guests for interviews and gaming. The first is Little Miss Cadaver, a magical singer-songwriter with a penchant for finding the beauty in a haunting melody. Our own Haslem Stroud, presenter of Crisis of Context, will be conducting this interview, delving into her music and what makes it so special. Later the same day, we are honoured to have Tubbo joining us for an interview and some games! Tubbo is an excellent YouTuber and Twitch Streamer with over five million followers. We’ll be learning what it’s like to be a huge YouTuber at his age, as well as testing him with a few of our favourite games. Tune in to ask questions to either of our brilliant guests.

Here at Insanity Radio, we don’t believe in doing things in half measures. That’s why we’ve also included a series of challenges for our presenters to endure should we raise enough money. At £100, we will be doing some TikTok dances, something nice and easy to get started. At £500, we unlock the shock collar. Alex will be wearing this shock collar for the rest of the 72 hours, getting shocked for every hundred-pound increase as well as any donation of £50 or more. At £2500, the gents will get their first experience being waxed, and at £3500, they will experience their first simulated menstrual cramp using a TENS machine. At £5000 Insanity Radio will create a fully original Jingle Jam song. There are many, many more challenges and forfeits lined up, so go to our Tiltify link to check them out and donate!

Charity is at the heart of what Insanity Radio does. We seek to give back to the community wherever we can, and the Jingle Jam 2024 gives us an excellent opportunity to do so. So, come and join us from the 6th of December to the 8th for a full 72 hours of chaos, fun and holiday spirit. Spread the word and donate if you can. We can’t wait to see you there.
