Congratulations 103.2FM!
Insanity Radio are delighted with the news that we are up for three awards this year at the SRA Awards: Best Newcomer for Kinga Stusik, Best Technical Achievement for Insanity Xtra, and Best Station.
Announced via the SRA (Student Radio Association) YouTube page, Insanity has become one of the most accredited student radio stations in the country this year. The nominations highlight the odyssey of hard work, determination and professionalism that Insanity members have undertaken, as proven in their nomination for best station.
Our current Assistant Station Manager, Kinga Stusik has been awarded the best newcomer as Head of Community (Outreach). Kinga has outdone herself as a consistent and loyal member of the Insanity community. Her involvement from our show stopping events to day to day running at our station has been outstanding. Well done Kinga!
Additionally a massive congratulations to our Technology team, who has pioneered our Best Technical Achievement nomination, Insanity XTRA. This is a virtual training station that works alongside our FM broadcast. Starting in March 2020 as a copy of our main database, it allowed our members to try out recording from home during lockdown. XTRA is now a fully virtual (but real) radio station, running in the background on a PC in the office. It has since become invaluable to aiding our outside broadcast events.
Our nomination for Best Station recognises the individual and group efforts of all our members over the past year. Bouncing back after lockdown, it was our mission to get the station off the ground. We have exceeded every expectation. Arguably the most impressive award up for grabs, Insanity Radio would like to thank everyone involved in our station, including our listeners around the globe.
Regardless of whether the station picks up any awards at the O2 this year, we will find out the results on the 16th of November. We will be celebrating, and already looking forward to another triumphant year.
