Royal Holloway today publically unveiled plans to refurbish all 479 student bedrooms within Founder’s Building, alongside all associated residential facilities. The Globe Theatre is currently in the midst of its Globe to Globe festival, which will include performances of all 37 of Shakespeare’s plays in 37 languages and put on by 37 theatre companies from across the world. The productions on offer include Hamlet in Lithuanian, Much Ado About Nothing in French, A Midsummer Night’s Dream in Korean and Macbeth in Polish. This evening saw Royal Holloway’s Main Lecture Theatre packed out with students keen to be involved in the election of next year’s production board for Insanity Radio. Congratulations are in order for Rosa O’Rourke, a second year History student from Royal Holloway, University of London, who has won a national Arts and Humanities Undergraduate of the Year Award. This is a highly competitive annual award run by TARGETjobs, and Rosa had some stiff competition in the form of top students from prestigious universities across the country.
