Insanity’s New Managers
Mar 26th

After today’s general meeting where 141 people overturned Tuesday’s decision not to ratify the recent elections, we now have the station managers for 2010/11. They are Charlie Pagliero, who will be our Station Manager, and Sarah Honeycombe who will serve as our Assistant Station Manager.
Congratulations to them both. Don’t forget you can run for a position on the Insanity Board in the elections on April 30th!
Emergency General Meeting
Mar 25th
Those of you following events with the recent executive board elections will already be aware that last Tuesday at the general meeting, a vote was held with the final result of 21 for 22 against or abstained, to ratify those elections, which did not reach the constitutional 10% quota for automatic ratification. This means amongst other things that Insanity’s new station manager and assistant station manager (Charlie Pagliero and Sarah Honeycombe) have not been voted in, and those positions will remain vacant until the by-election at the end of next term.
This has caused some controversy and as such, over 50 people have signed to request an emergency general meeting be held, which will happen tomorrow, the 26th of March, at 3PM in the Student’s Union main hall.
The general meeting will be focusing on the issue of ratification of the elections, so come along if you want to make sure your opinion is heard. It shouldn’t take long, and a strong turnout will help make sure any decision made is in the interests of the student body.
