SURHUL Summer Ball Lineup Announced

SURHUL Entertainments has announced the Summer Ball lineup for 2010 on their Twitter account, twitter.com/SURHUL_ENTS
Tinchy Stryder, Diana Vickers and Example have all be confirmed as playing the event, which is taking place on the 4th June, 2010.

Voting Closes in Sabbatical Elections
Feb 9th
Voting has now closed in locations across campus, after five days of campaigns.
Ballot boxes were closed at midday today (9/2/2010) and the votes will be counted this afternoon.
Results will be announced in Medicine from eight o’clock tonight in an event hosted by Insanity News.
Sabbatical Winners Announced

In an event hosted by Insanity News, the winners of the recent elections have been announced.
Insanity would like to congratulate Rachel Pearson (President), Beth Rowley (Vice President, Education and Welfare), Sarah Rahman (Vice President, Communications and Campaigns) and Victor Garcia (Vice President, Student Activities).

The full list of candidates for the upcoming sabbatical elections has just been released, Insanity and The Orbital can reveal.
Nominations closed this morning at 9 o’clock, having been open for a week.
The full list of candidates is:
President:

Vice President (Communications and Campaigns, formerly Communications and Services):

Voting opens at midday on Wednesday 3rd February 2010 and will close at midday on Tuesday 9th February 2010. Candidates will be campaigning across campus, with a team of up to ten people. They also have the opportunity to appear on Insanity Radio at midday on Wednesday to announce their policies and be asked questions by the listeners. Orbital Editor Nick Stylianou and Insanity Head of News/Orbital Society Editor Sarah Honeycombe will host the show. Candidates will also be required to appear at Candidates’ Question Time at 7:30pm in the Students’ Union Main Hall on Thursday 4th February.
Ballot boxes will be placed across campus in locations including Bake ‘n’ Bite, Crosslands and Bedford Library.
